TO OUR READERS.
THE "ILLUSTRATED WESTPORT TIMES." We have pleasure in acquainting our readers that, on an early date, we purpose publishing the first number of an illustrated monthly newspaper, which will contain numerous views of scenery in New Zealand and Australia, with a full summary of the local and colonial news of the month. " The Illustrated Westport Times" will consist of sixteen closely-printed pages, and will bo published each month in time for transmission by the English mail. We need scarcely say that the introduction of such a newspaper, so novel to goldfields districts, is not unattended by additional expense, and we confidently hope that the enterprise will he considered a worthy one, and meet with the support of our already numerous subscribers. We are in hopes of being able to furnish, in the course of a month or two, several views of local and West Coast scenery, with accompanying descriptions, which will be found highly interesting to Home readers, and which will, doubtless, be appreciated by the public in this and the surrounding districts.
