DEPARTMENTAL CHANGES. QUARTZ-REEFS AT WELLINGTON. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) (FROM OUR OWjST CORRESPONDENT.) Wellington, Saturday. Mr William Gisborne, Under Secretary, has been called to the Upper House, and made Resident Minister at Auckland. Mr John Knowles, clerk to the Superintendent of Wellington Province, has been appointed to the Under-Secretaryship. Monday. It is now given forth that Mr Gisborne has been appointed Colonial Secretary. It has been discovered that quartz reefs exist everywhere in and around the city of Wellington.
