A telegram from Tass states W* two bushrangers bailed up the DM" coach and fired three shots, one "i which wounded Mr Longfield, a chemist. Trooper Chalker, who was escorting the coach, immediately returned the shots, and at the second dischargekillcd one of the bushranger s horses, and the ruffians, finding such a stout resistance offered, immediately decamped without having succeeded in their object.
