THE PRIZE ESSAYS. {BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.) (from our own correspondent.) "Wellington, Wednesday. The examiners appointed to award the Government prizes to the successful essayists on the subject of the " settlement of goldfields," have given their award. The prizes are awarded to Mr Eyton, Auckland ; Mr Hutton, Auckland ; and Mr Gillon, Wellington. The two first are strongly geological.
