Twopence For every ounce or fraction of an nee over one ounce ... ... Twopence. 11. Country Letters. Posted at any Post-offico within the colony for delivery at or from any other Post-office within the same province— Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... Twopeuce, Exceeding half-an-ounee but not exceeding one ounce ... ... Fourpence. For every ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce ... Fourpence 111. I.NTERI'ROVINCIAL LETTERS. Posted at any Post-office within the colonj for delivery at or from any Post-office in ar/ other province within the c jlony— Not exceeding half an ounce, Threepence. Exceeding half-an-ounce but not exceeding one ounce Sixpence. For every ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce ... ... Siviience NEWSPAPERS. Forplaces within the colony, the Australian Colonies, and the United Kingdom, via Suez and Southampton, are chargeable with a rate of one penny. Newspapers for the United Kingdom, via I Panama or Suez, one penny; and Marseilles, | threepence each. In consequence of newspapers being frequently posted in packages of more than one j number, the same are detained at the Chief i Post-office, and attention is called to the folI lowing postal regulation : " Newspaper's for transmission within the j colony shall be posted in single numbers, so | put up that the date of publication may be i readily seen. Packages of newspapers consist' j ing of more than one number shall be treated i as bookpackages.
