According to reliable statistics recently published it appears that the average life of certain animals and birds is the following:— The hare lives 10 years; the cat, 10; the goat, 8 ; the donkey, 30 ; the sheep, 10; the dog, 14 to 20 ; the ox, 20; the sow, 25 ; Ihe pigeon, 8; the turtle dove, 25 ; the partridge, 25 ; the raven, 100 j the eagle, 100; the goose, 150 years.
