SEPARATION.
(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sib, —The enquirer of the question subjoined hereto is of opinion that, if Separation be required for this district the miner should be the person who should touch upon such a desirability. But he has hitherto said nothing. Can you tell me what benefit or advantage would ultimately accrue to the mining population generally if Separation were obtained for the Buller? How many nests are there in "Westport only partially feathered ? I am an old bird myself, and occasionally pay a nocturnal visit to those places where a little insight may be discovered of what is going on behind the scene.—l am, &c, Old Bied.
