Frowi Canterbury. last J ear, 40,000 bushels were exported, but'.t is anticipated that this year there will lie a deficiency of at least. 10,000 bushels. Chan is stilt at quotation of ast week. Brandieare also fi mat last week's quotation. Hennessy'fl bottled is almost out of the market. *nd of dark brandy there is no stock in hand. The bonded stocks of Saucel whiskey are very low. The stocks of oilmen's stores are quite equal to the den and. Butter is likely to advance, us higher prices have been asked. The present quota!inn for prime is Is 6d. In other goods, there is very little or no change from last we k*s quotations. Dunedin.—The Times of the 30th ultimo reports:— Business wfars an appearance of steadiness; but what has been doing to-day has been ol minor importance—nothing noticeable going forward in the import markets, there being no inclination to operate nntil after the receipt of the mails. Breadstuff's arc quiet, but firms and millers and holders are careless as to making engagements.
