'The Wallabi and Waipara brought stock and produce from Wanganui ; the Murray had a cargo from Nelson ; and the Bruce had a quantity of cargo for this port from Dunedin and intermediate places, at which she had call d. The Bruce and the Murray sailed on the same evening for the southern ports. TinBruce, we believe, only visits the coast for the purpose of loading some engines and material lying at Hokitika. She is then to proceed to Auckland, and will probably be employed in the Thames trade. On her way hither from Nelson, she took shelter, along with the Waipara, at Totaranui. The brigantine Waterman, from Melbourne, arrived in port on Sunday morning. She sailed from l'ort Phillip on the 24th ult. Kxperieneed for the first day favorable winds. Cleared the Straits at 8 a m. on the 25th, and for the following two days had light favorable breezes. From that time until making Ciipe Foul wind, she experienced a continuation of light winds and calms, with much rain. She came to anchor on Saturday, and ,mj Sunday morning was towed in by the steamer Lioness, and safely moored alongside the upper wharf. The Wallabi left Wanganui on Thursday evening, and experienced fine weather during L?r run down. She came into the river with Saturday morning's tide. No intelligence has reached Melbourne a< to the fate of the ship Daring, which sailed from Gravosend for Melbourne on the 25th of April last. >he had a very larsje quantity ot gunpowder on board, and it is feared that she ;;as suffered wreck from fire or explosion.
