MAGISTRATES' COURTS.
By an order in Council published in the Gazette, the following fees are to be taken in the Resident Magistrate's Courts on and after January?:— Poundage on sum for which the body is taken, in execution, Is. For issuing every warrant for apprehensiou or committal, except in cases hereinafter expressly provided for, Gd in the pound. For every summons for commitment under section seven of " The Resident Magistrates Act, 1568," threepence in the pound on the amount in the orig iual demand then remaining due. For every hearing of the matters mentioned in such summons, for commitment, sixpence iu the pound on the amount last aforesaid. For issuing every warrant of apprehensiou under the eighth section of " The Resident Magistrates Act 1868," threepence in the pound on the amount last aforesaid. For issuing every warrant of of commital under the ninth section of '• The Resident Magistrates Act, 1568," sixpence iu the amount last aforesaid. For every bail bond under section seveuteen of " The Resident Magistrates Act, ISSS," for any sum not exceeding £2O, 5s ; ditto not exceeding £SO, 7s 6d ; ditto not exceeding .£IOO, 10s. For every hearing an order under section eighteen and nineteen of " The Resident Magistrates Act, 1868," for- any sum not exceeding £lO, 5s ; ditto for any sum not exceeding £2O, 8s ; ditto for any sum not exceeding £SO, 12s; ditto for any sum not exceeding £IOO, 20s. For any process or proceeding issued or taken under the twentieth section of " The Resident Magistrates Act, 1868," the same fees as payable in respect to the like proceedings under "The District Courts Act, 1858."
