Murray, from Nelson, arrived in pott on Wednesday evening, and, last evening, Sailed for southern ports. By the comtesy of Mr Falla, who was a passenger, we are in receipt of Otago and Canterbury files of dates up to the 26th inst., and which were received by Mr Falla from the steamship Tararua. The s.s. Waipara left Hokitika on Thursday morning. At the time of her departure the Kangitoto was being tendered, and her mails were placed on Cobb's Coach and forwarded to Greymouth, where they were shipped on board the Waipara that evening for this port. The Waipara has been chartered for a trip to Wanganui, and left last night at 9 o'clock for that port. We learn that the Charles Edward has proceeded from Nelson to Blenheim, the steamer Lyttelton being at present unequal to "the work of conveying wool from the Wairau to Port Underwood. 'i'.'ta steamer Bruce, we are told, may be expected to arrive at one or other of the West Coast ports in a few days, and is intended to resume the trade on this coast. It is stated to be the intention of Messrs M'Meekan, Blackwood, and Co., of the Melbourne, Adelaide, and New Zealand Steam Company, to start one of their steamers from Melbourne for New Zealand ports every five days, ono by way of Hokitika, and one via Bturi" Harbor. The wreck of the Taranaki is advertised for nalo by auction early next month.
