The brig Emulous, which recently brought to Otago the Nova Scotia settlers, has been sold at Dunedin by Messrs M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co., to Messrs Guthrie, Asher, and Co., for £I4OO. The new barque Hera, the first wool ship of Ihe season from Port Underwood, has completed her loading of 1755 bales of wool, and sailed for London. The ketch Minnie is on shore at Little Akaroa, with her bottom knocked out. It appears that she was close in shore, and was driven on to the rocks by the heavy northeast swel'. Saturday was a busy day at the wharves, or where the wharves ought to be. The 'North rn Light, from Melbourne, had been towed in late on the previous irght by the Lioness ; the Wallabi, had arrived from Wanganui ; and from the south came the Charles Edward, John Penn, ?Jurray, and Waipara, all of the last mentioned, except the Waipara, sailing afterwards for Nelson.
