John Penn, s.s., Carey, from Nelson. J. Gillion, agent. IMPOSTS. Per Wanganui, from Wanganui—so head of cattle, 30(T sheep, 150 bags bran, 20 kegs butter, 6 crates poultry, J. Dick. The s.s. Wanganui arrived in the river yesterday morning. She left Wanganui on Saturday evening, and has brought a large cargo of cattle and sheep besides some produce. The John Penn left Wanganui by the same tide, and arrived off the bar yesterday afternoon. If.M.S.S. Charybdis arrived in Wellington harbor on Saturday evening last, having left Sydney for that port on that day week. It was understood that this fine vessel was to convey his Excellency the Governor on a tour to the south, but in consequence of the disturbed state of affairs it is probable she will be detained for service on the coast.
