Per Wallabi, .from Wanganui—29 head •cattle, 400 sheep, 1 horse, 2 calves, 63 bags potatoes, 30 bags oats, 5 pairs turkeys, 17,4 pairs fowls, 16 kegs butter, 4 bags new potatoes, 1 bale chaff, Freeth and Greig. The Charles Edward came into port yesterday morning and left for Nelson by the same tide. She had twenty-five men on board for the Armed Constabulary. The Gothenburg passed this port yesterday on hey trip south. T" 9 Waipara and the Murray, it will bo seen.untered Ilokitika yesterday morning at the same hour. As the barque Alma was being towed into Hokitika on Friday last, she grounded, and she was in a position of risk for some time. but the Lioness ultimately got her off, and towed h«r to the roadstead. She got in safely on Sunday. The brigantine Sea Bird, from Melbourne, which arrived off this port on Monday, was towed in yesterday evening, by the steamer Lioness ; the steamer returning immediately afterwards to Hokitika. The Sea Bird left Melbourne on the 23rd ult. The schooner Crest of the Wave, which brings a general cargo from Dunedin, arrived in the roadstead yesterday, and will, no doubt, take advantage of the first fair wind to enter the river.
