WESTPORT. A steamer was observed outside tlio bar last evening, shortly after suu-down. She seemed to make for tho bar at one time, but as it was ebb tide, and as there was a heavy surf on, she seemed to dec ine the risk of running in, and stood off shore. She is presumed to be the Charles Edward, from Nelson, although she can scarcely have made headway ug-ainst the very heavy weather which lias lately prevailed.
