THE DISTRICT COURT.
The sittings of the "Westport District Court commence on Tuesday. There are but three criminal cases to be tried, one appeal case before asses, sors, and no civil cases. There are, however, no fewer than sixteen bankruptcy cases, in each of which the application is for final discharge. The appeal case is that of Luke and others v. Perry and others. The criminal cases are as follows :—James Mahone charged with larceny ; Michael Cullen and John Black, charged with aggravated assault; and John Hooker, charged with larceny as a bailee. Subjoined is the list of applicants for relief under the Bankruptcy Act 1867:
