PUBLIC NOTICE. Westport is called to the following Proclamation, published .in the Provincial Gazette of the 28th of October, IS6S W. N. Fbankxtn, Police Department, Westport, November Gth, 18GS. PROCLAMATION. By his Honor Oswald Curtis, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c. &c, &c. TN accordance with tbe provisions of the " Marine Act, 1867," I, Oswald Curtis, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, hereby make the following Harbor Regulation for the pert of Bullcr, on tbe West Coast, and declare that the same shall come into operation and take effect from and after the date hereof.
REGULATION. No driftwood shall be removed without the permission of the Harbormaster from any land of the Crown upon the sea beach, to the eastward of the "Buller, between the river Buller and the river Orowaiti, and to the westward of the river Buller, between the river Buller, and a point on the sea beach formed by the continuation ! of the boundary line of t Section, ISTo. 226, to the sea, and any person removing the same shall bo liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of .Nelson, this 28th day of October, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty eight.
