CHARLESTON NEWS.

The Prospecting Association Committee met on Friday evening, at the Melbourne Hotel. There were present —Messrs Kennedy (in the chair), Neale, M'Carthy, Behan, and M'Earland. Mr Bear's offer to get up a dramatic entertainment in aid of the funds of the Association was accepted, and Mr Neale was appointed to carry out the necessary arrangements. It was finally resolved, that applications from experienced miners desirous of proceeding on a prospecting tour within the radius of five miles of the town of Charleston, be called for and addressed to the Secretary.
