Tho p.s. Nelson, towed in the Brigantine, Ceres, from Melbourne, at noon yesterday, and proceeded to Nelson with last night's tide. The Brigantine, Ceres, Captain Brown, left Melbonrno on Saturday the 12th inst. at 1.30, passed Port Philip heads on the 16th inst. She experienced head winds and yery bad ' weather during her passage, sighted Cape Foul wind on Thursday, Ist inst.., and stood in for the steeples on Priday at 9 a.m. Ths s.s. Nelson towed her in yesterday. She brings a general cargo as will be seen on reference to her manifest.
