(from a correspondent.) 16th September. The Municipal Council assembled at 10 o'clock this morning in ! the Religious Institute, Q-resson street, when various matters of business pertaining to the Council were discussed. Edward Masters Esq., was elected to fill the office of Mayor. The com mittec of the Public Works is composed of:—His Worship the Mayor • Councillors Kilgour, Rao, Wicks' Coates.
