Wallabi, from Wanganui—"o head entile, 200 sheep, 30 hales of chaff, 2 cases fowls, Messrs Freeth and Greig. The ss. Wallabi, Captain Daniels, left Wanganui on Friday evening, and had a strong south east breeze from the straits down to the Buller bar, at which she arrived on Saturday night at 12 o'clock, and came into the stream at seven a.m. yesterday morning. She brings fifty head of cattle and 200 sheep besid'S other cargo. The Wallabi reports that the steamer Rangatira, had arrived at Wanganui on Friday evening, with materials for building the Wanganui bridge, consigned to Mr Neale. The English mail had not been heard of up to the time of her departure. The schooner. Queen of the Isles, Captain Patterson, from Dunedin, left Port Chalmers on tho 10th instant, passed through the Straits on Wednesday at noon ; up to this period she had fine weather with strong breeze from tho south east, and from the Straits down to Wcstport had easterly wind--, with fine weather ; she came up to the bar at seven o'clock on Sunday morning, and was lowed into the stream yesterday evening by the ps. Nelson. She brings 20 ton 3of flour, 400 sacks of oats, 50 bales of chaff, besides a general cargo of produce, consigned to Jno. agent. This pretty schooner has made one of the fastest runs" from Dunedin to the Buller we are aware of, and has proved that her sailing qualities are superior to some steamers coming from that quarter to this port. We have no news of import anee by her files, which were kindly handed to us by chief officer. The ps. Nelson, left C.reymouth at eight o'clock am. yesterday morning, and arrived outside the bar yesterday afternoon ; when passing the Steeples a number of seals were seen on tho rocks, when Captain Dillon put off in a boat with a few men and captured six. Two of them are pretty large, and one of the amallcst was alive and moaning Qiost pitcously when the vessel eame up to owell's wharf. There is no doubt but that a mimber of fish are in the neighborhood when seals are so contiguous to the port.
