SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
POET OF WESTPORT. HIGH W4.TEII. This Day ... sAßa.ru., 6.12 p.m. ARRIVALS. July 14—Nil. DEPARTURES. July 14—Nil. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Beautiful Star, from Dunedin. Waipara, from Wellington. Nelson, from Nelson. Murray, from Nelson. Wallabi, from Hokitika. John Penn, from Manakau via Nelson Charles Edward, from Nelson VESSELS IN PORT. Ketches—Enterprise (rept&ring) Young America, Mary, Constant. Cutter—Dart. Steamer—Lioness. Yesterday was another blank shipping day, not a craft of any description venturing to show up or leave. A strong southerly or southwest breeze was blowing outside, sufficient, we suppose, to keep the Wallabi, barbound in Greymouth or Hokitika, and to prevent the boats en route from Nelson or Wanganui from facing it. A heavy sea rolled in over the bar, and there bad been evidently bad weather outside. The Nightingale remained at anchor yesterday and seemed to ride easily enough, the natural breakwater, the steeples, no doubt protecting her from the effects of the southerly breeze. It will be at least a week however, before she can get in.
