Sin, —I observed in your Police report, thataman named Walkerwas fined five shillings for removing drift wood from the bench, when the Magistrate, Dr Giles, remarked that he would infliclt the penalty of five pounds upon the next offenders. Therefore I hope for the sake of maintaining the integrity of the law, as well as his own word as a magistrate, and impartial administrator of justice, he will put his threat into full force, against each of those parties who caused several dray loads of drift wood to be removed yesterday forenoon, from within the boundaries, as declared by the Superintendent proclamation, Equity.
