The brigantine, Mary, after a fortnight's absence, turned up again yesterday, and anchored in the roadstead about mid-day. We presume that she will come up to the wharf by the first opportunity. The bar was in splendid condition yesterday, and was as smooth as a mill pond. Sever;'.! skiffs crossed with perfect case, and some fishermen were well rewarded for putting to sea. The Nelson loft the Grey at midnight on Monday, and arrived off' Fox's at 3.30 run., and landed cargo and passengers. Deft again at f>.ls a.m., and arrived at the Boiler at 10 a.m. She left again for Nelson yesterday. Captain Dillon reports that the Tlokitika bar is in a very bad stain. The Maid of Erin arrived on the 7th, and was towed into Ilokitika the same day by the Challenge. The s.s. Wallabi left at 12.30 a.m. on Monday night, and arrived at Fox's at 4.30 a.m., but discharged neither cargo or passengers—merely calling and coming out again. She came on to the Buller, and arrived at the wharf at 10.30 a.m. She left last night for Wanganui direct. The schooner Amateur, and the ketch Enterprise were off the bar last night, and had anchored after an unsuccessful attempt to beat in. The s.s. Beautiful Star goes back to Dunt'din via Wellington and Lyttelton, and leaves' to-night. She does not. go to Auckland as advertised, as sufficient passengers did not oiler.
