Pareora, whose voyage from the home country to Dunedin has already occupied about two years, during which time she is supposed to have accomplished half the distanco between tho port of departuro and destination, was intended to become tho property of the (Otago) • Southern Steam Navigation Company).' Her present whereabouts is quite a matter of conjecture—somewhere in the Pacific Ocean will be near the mark. The delay appears to have been fatal to the Company, as at an extraordinary general meeting, held on the 3rd instant, it was resolved, to wind up its affairs voluntarily.
