E The s.s. Kennedy left Nelson at 4 p.m. on Friday last, and met with fine weather throughout the trip. She arrived here at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, bringing general cargo four passengers and. shee p. The ketch Young America will, we believe, bo a regular trader to Mokihinui, from which she will fetch coal. The mine there has now been well opened, and is likely to pay the enterprising prospectors handsomely. The remaining inhabitants of Mokihinui will, no doubt, be glad to secure the services of so useful a little trader as this boat promises to become.
We publish the manifest of the Nightingale, which has been obligingly furnished, bv the agents. As will be seen she brings a large general cargo. It is yet uncertain when she will be able to come up to the wharf, though as the spring tides are now about making she may be brought up to-day or to-morrow. The bar, as yet, since the Lioness's return, has been too shallow to venture over with so large a boat.
