We have no arrivals or departures to chronicle yesterday, and the river pi'esented a mostdesolate appearance, no boat being moored in it at all. The sea outside was very rough, and the current in the river running strong, although no freshet of any consequence was observable. By the first steamer we may look for the confirmation, or otherwise of the dastardly attempt on the life of the sailor Duke.
