District Court. His Honor Judge Clarke sat the whole day, yesterday. In an appeal case, which lasted till 4 p.m., when the court adjourned to the 7th April. Export of Gold prom Westport. —Prom the General Government Gazette of the 30th ult., we find that the total export of gold from Westport for the year ending 31st December, 1867, amounted to 80,4.13 ounces of the value of «£312,401, against 1203 ounces of the value of £4050 iu 180 G. Steven-son's Westport Assemply Rooms.—AVe notice that the new Assembly-Rooms are being rapidly completed, and that Mdine Sinionseu's first concert is announced for Saturday next. The rooms are being fitted up in the most recherche manner, and will be the most complete of the kind in the. township. The first ball will take place on Tuesday next, we reserve our description until the whole of the work is finished.

Inauguration op the Apollo Music Hall and Casino.—Last evening Mr Samuel Hamilton proceeded to inaugurate the opening of his new Music Hall aud Casino with a grand Bal Masque. The room was tastefully decorated with flowers and banners, and a number of ladies in ball costume lent anamation to the scene. The spacious room was crowded with devotees of the " mazy waltz," and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. The room is certainly the best adapted for dancing of any in Westport, and as the landlord is both civil and attentive, we have no doubt but that he will receive the support his venture deserves. Departure op the Wallabi.— We are glad to announce that the screw steamer Wallabi, having temporarily repaired the hole made in. her plates, by contact with a snag on Monday evening, was enabled to put to sea, bound for Nelson, where, no doubt, she will be quickly made seaworthy again.
