West-tort Times Office, January 28, 1868. The amount of Customs' revenue received this day for import duties was .£33 9s 6d. There has been a very small amount of business transacted the last day or two, notwithstanding the fineness of the weather and fthe hopeful tone which commercial men are beginning to assume, when spoaking of the future prosperity of the district. Mr Arthur Beauchamp sold a quantity of New Zealand produce ex Volunteer, from the Manutau, 25 tons of potatoes fetched from £8 2s Gd to £S 5s per ton ; onions, 3d per lb ; geese, 15s per pair ; butter (damaged), 6d to £>d per lb.
