LoxDcm, November 26. In the discount market, supplies of money are still large, at slightly advanced rates, the object being assirnilaton to the Bank rate of two per cent. The latest quotation? in open market are for best paper If to If. Half a million of bullion has been withdrawn from the Bank of England for the Abyssinian expedition,butthe reserve is still excessive. Business on the Stock Bxchauge is quiet. Confidence has been restored, but transactions were limited to English funds, with little fluctuation during the month. Consols now stand at 94f to 94|, with discount for money. 33J to 23f ex dividend for account required, and new three per cents, firm at 93 to 93£. A Becond dividend of 3s. has been paid in the estate of tho New Zealand Banking Corporation, and a dividend of Is. in Overend and Gurney's estate, making 13s. At a meeting of the shareholders of the Royal Bank of Liverpool, the call was increased from £5 to £lO per share. Great dissatisfaction was expressed with the management, and a committee of investigation has been appointed. G-overnment has resolved to take the management of telegraphs, which has given great satisfaction. There have been no failures of importance. The Australian Trust Agency Company have declared a dividend of 10 per cent.
