I.—Town Eettes. Posted at any Post-oflice within the colony from delivery at or from such Post-office— Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... Onepenny Exceeding half-an-ounce but net exceeding ohe.ounce ... Twopence For every ounce or fraction of an ' ounce over one ounce Twopence. For every ounce fraction of an sunce over one ounce Twopence. ll.—Country Letters. Posted at any Post-office within the colony for delivery at or from any other Post-office within the same province Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... Twopeuce. Exceeding half-an-ounee but not exceeding one ounce Pourpence. hor every ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce ... Fourpence. ALL—lnteuprovincial Lktters Posted at any Post-office within the colony for delivery at or from any Post-office in any other province within the colonv— Exceeding half-an-ounce but not exceeding one ounce ... ...-Sixpence. fc or every ounce or fraction of an ounoe over one ounce ... ... SixpenceNEWSPAPERS. For places within the colony, the Australian Colonies, and the United Kingdom, via Suez and Southampton, are chargeable with a rate of one penny. Newspapers for the United Kingdom, via Lanama or Suez, onepenny; and Marseilles, threepence each. In consequence of newspapers being frequently posted in packages of more than one number, the same are detained at the Chief 1 ost-office, and attention is called to the following postal regulation : " Newspapers for transmission within the colony shall bn posted in single numbers, so put. up that the date of publication may be readily seen. Packages of newspapers consisting ot more than one number shall be treated as bookpackages.
