(Received December 28,1 a.m.) I Washington, Decemder 27, The House of Representatives, by a majority of 124, lias passed the Tariff Bill, increasing the annual revenue by 40 millions. It is estimated that the increase of the wool duty will yield 25 millions.
The new charge amounts to 6'6 cents per lb on unwashed wool, and 32 per cent, on carpet wool. The Committee of Ways. and Means has recommended the vaising of a loan by tho issue of three per cent, coin bonds at par payable in five years, also three year certificates at three per cent,, the issue not to exceed £50,000,000.
