Ox the top of the map of South America, is a big lump of a Republic, painted green, called Venezuela-; and to the right of itjsasmfill territory, painted red, palled ■> British Guiana," A question of a boundary Hue botween these two tropical i«d President Olevoland regions, im, ■ witkhosto menace Great Bntaiu . tilities. President Cleveland, the Democratic Chief of tho United States, is now entering upon the final year of his term, aud is supposed to be courting popularity by the stand he has taken in the Venozuela question, He may mean little by his attitude towards England, but even if he means much, it does not follow that he will bo supported by his Cabinet, and by the people of America. Tlio breeze will probably blow over, and wo devoutly hope that at the Presidential election next year, tlio bellicobo Cleveland will find himself in a minority,
