News from the Gold Coast, states that a portion of tho Ashanteo carriers liavo deserted.
The river natives attacked the bouse of tho polico at Appam, but were repulsed. The Chief Samory remains neutral. Colonel Scott will form a northern column, and in addition to the troops maintained on tho Coast, will converge on Coomassio.
