QUARTERLY MEETING.
Tlio quarterly mooting of tlio Maslei'ton Lieonsiiig Committee was hold lit noon to-day. Present, Messrs T. Hutchison, S.M. (chairman), F. Bright, G. E. Dimicll, A, Stewart, J. Ifesev, li. Syvorston, J. Dawson, T. ]•), Chamberlain ami Alex. Walker. The minutes of tlio last meeting wore rend and continued.
Mr Tosswill said he proposed to apply for a temporary transfer with regard to the Post Office Hotel, Pahiatua. A permit lmd boea granted to Mr J. Carmody by Messrs Dawson and Stewart. Tho Chairman said under the now Act such applications should bo submitted to tiie Chairman. Tho Clerk said thero was no objections in any of the Police reports. The Police reports, regarding the Mastcrton Hotels, slated that all are being well conducted. Police reports regarding other hotels in tho district weie gonerally favorablo.
R D. Pei,i,ixg applied for a permanent transfer from J. Anderson to himself.—Mr I'ownall for applicant. F. D, Polling gave evidence tlmtall necessary formalities had been Complied with.—Application granted, S. M. George applied for a permanent transfer to John M. George, —Granted,
Kenneth Mcl.ntosh applied for a permanent transfer from W. J. Burling, of the Grnssendale Hotel. Mr I'ownall for applicant,—Granted.
An application for tho transfer of license from G. Dcxxis to Maisgahet McKeszie was granted. Application fortransforof Whakataki Hotel from G, McCaxdiisii to J. O'Neill—Granted.
The Deputy Ollicial Assignee applied lor a transfer to Timothy Cotter, of the Makuri Hotel Grunted.
Maurici: Keuuier, of the Club Hotel, Eketahuna, made application for extension of time till eleven o'clock nt night.
Mr Pownall, who with Mr Tosswill appeared for the applicants, said it was a general application from the wholo of the hotel-keepers at Pahiatua and Eketahuna.
Mr Daniell proposed that the extensions be not granted, and Mr Bright moved that lliey be granted, but neither motion was seconded.
An adjournment was then made till two o'clock.
