Cr' Hornbiow moved that the night-soil contractor be asked to send in a return of all persons who employ him for the removal of night-soil, Ho moved in this direction because ho understood that a number of persons in the ceutre of the town were evading the law by depositing nightsoil in their gardens. Cr Feist thought it would be better to ask the Inspector of Nuisances, to send in the names of those persons who do not employ the nightsoil contractor. The Mayor said the matter was an important one. The suggestion of Or Feist was adopted, DAXGEKOL'S GOOI«.

The Borough Surveyor reported with regard to dangerous goods, that it was only advisable to issue licenses to the persons having detached promises for the storage of kerosene, and (hat the remaining applicants be notified that their premises aie not suitable for the purpose.

With regard to the storage of powder, tho Works Committee not having yet been able to go into the question of erecting a magazine, Cr llornblow suggested that the W.F.C.A, be asked to allow other storekeepers to store explosives in the Company's magazine for the time being, It was decided to make the application as suggested.
