From Our Own Correspondent. Caktkiitox, Wednesday, At the S.JI. Court yesterday afternoon a charge of sheep-worrying was heard, which proved of considerable interest. William farmer, of Taratahi, sued W. H. 1 Franks, blacksmith, claiming £l6 lb's damages, for sheep and lambs destroyed by two dogs belonging to defendant. The defence sot up was that the dogs were not owned by Franks. He brought evidence to show the dogs were owned by his half-brother, who worked with < him in the shop. His Worship gave judgment for £lO 18s with'cpstg, stating thatiflefetulaut ws o\vner of the dogs within the meaning of tho Act.
