"Hack' 5 shall mean horses that have never won an advertised race exceeding the value of 10 govs, at time of start (hack and hunter races excepted), and that are not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St. Lcgcr or Sapling Stakes at time of start. 4. All entries to be scaled anil addressed to the Secretary, at I'aliiatua. All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before the advertised time of starting.
