After a voyage of 75 miles, during which thoy suffered great hardships, tlioy landed, and began a dreary march of nearly a hundred miles to ft native settlement. They were hospitably treated, and started back again for the coast. Meantime, volimteor crows from the steamors Oscar 11,, and Olivo Branch, lying at Dolngoa, started in J thoir boats to rescuo the sufferers, After an exciting vogage up the l iver and a long tramp through unknown country, during which thoy were fired on several times, they reached the settlement where the supposed castaways wore located, and found they bad left for the Coast. The rescuers were almost naked nnd worn out for want of food, and had to march 95 miles back to their boats through a rough and swampy country, and were continually perJsecuted by tbo natives, J&fheir Bufferings wore so severe runt all but two gave up. The latter reached Delagoa, whence assistance was sent to their companions, who wore brought safely to the const,
