After a lengthy debate, the Asaembly adopted the report of the conference on the Taxation Bill, so that the difficulty between both Houses is practically ended. Prorogation will probably take place within a fortnight or three weeks. The new taxation, which it was intended to dnte from July of the present year, will not come into operation before January. It is understood that the Government is willing for the Council to amend the Bill to this effect.
