MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tho ordinary meeting of tbe above Board was held on the 23rd inst, Present—Messrs Cameron (Chairman, Mc'Ecnjie, Stuckey, Harris and Holmes. With roferenco to Cotyuhon's application for repairs to his road, it was dooided to ask the Commissioner of Crown Lands to furnish the Board with certain plans. Permission was granted to Mr Alex. MoLood to put a tramway across the Upper Opaki Bond, subject to the work being approved by tho Engineer. The proposals made by the Engineer for expenditure of thirds were approved and referred to tho Land Board for consideration. Tho Finance Committee's report recommending accounts for payment amounting to £226175, was adopted. Tho Treasurer was authorised to prepare a voucher for £5 to J. P. and A. Larsen, for clearing slips on the lakaomu Eoad, Tho Eanger was instructed to impound any stock found straying on the OpakiJiangitumau Eoad until further orders. Eesolved that Mr Kynock, owner of section 13, Block XV., Mikimiki, bo asked whether he will conspnt to a , deviation ou Burnett's Eoad, through his land. The Eugincer's .Report was read and adopted, and'the meeting adjourned,
