Temperance Hall, Masterton, on MONDAY EVENING, November 2oth, at 8 o'clock, when I shall take the opportunity of explaining my views on municipal matters, llriclly my platform is this:—The acquisition, of a water-shed on the Tararuas by reserve from the Crown ; sale of the gasworks and abolition of the gas rate; the employment of corporation labour annually at a fixed wage; tlio tak i tig over of all existing roads as public roads and the construction of the same;the prolectionof the town from the encroachments of the Waipoua river; the formation and opening of the Ngaumutawa road and the redeeming of promises made regarding other roads; the making of a trial for artesian water; improvement of (he Public Library; where asphalt cannot be afforded; the proper maintenance of roads without reference to locality, and better attcn- ' lion to culverts; the erection of additional street lamps; the rendering of proper assistance to the lire brigades; and the widening of all streets to the width of one chain.
