FORESTERS' DISTRICT MEETING.

The annual district meeting of tbo Ancient Order of Foresters, of the Wellington Provincial District iyiis held yesterday, In the report of the District Officers, it was stated that two now courts (Court Onward, at Wangamii, for women, and Court Makakahi, at Ekotahuna) had been opened during the year, making the total number of courts 30, including three for wopipii. The general'fund, after death claims of £260, had increased to $631 8s Bd. This was largely due to decreased mortality during the year. The interest from tho invested capital paid the death claims, and left a surplus of £6910s 9d, This management fund, after paying all expenses, carried forward a, balance of £l7O Is 3d ; the juvenile fund had increased £8 3s 2d, and the total amounts of district funds was £O,IBO 17s sd, an increaso of £729 6s 7d. Tho accumulated funds of the juvonilo courts was £577 15s 4d, and of adult courts £33,770 Iss Bd, the wholo combined making the accumulated funds of the district £40,569 8s 5(1, During theycar 43,9mombpra had joinedj and 286 had left, the present number on the resistor being 2,947. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows :-<,
