Sin,—Mr Jluir in his letter dated November 12lli, 1595, admits that ho was not willing to face a trial of presses with sheepskins, and claims that wool is the recognised Ihimj. I had two bales of unprossedyfwwwoo/ ivailable, but there wore thm presses and Mr Muir had only a bale of bellies and pieces which arc not suitable torn competition. Some people have imagined that the Zealnndia was awarded a prize, but this is not ns llr Muir had no impressed wool there could be no trial, To settle the matter I am agreeable to meet Mr Muir in a contest Premier versus Zealandia, with not less than 4uwt of light wool or as much over that weight as Mr Muir desires.
