Featherstox, Monday. The usual monthly meeting of the joynl Unity Lodee, 1.0.0. F., M.U., vas held on Saturday evening. Ono ie\v member was initiated and two uore proposed. The treasurer rolorted a credit balance of £9 Is 3d.
On Thursday next our local Band, which I ,has recently been resuscitated, intends holding a social in aid of its funds for tho purchase of music, etc. On Saturday evening a meeting of tho building committee of the proposed Library and Reading-room was held to deal with the tenders. It was fonnd that the tenders exceeded the estimate by about £4O, so the meeting adjourned for a week to see whether the extra money could |be obtained. £2OO are already in tho Bank so it ought not to take long to get the required amount. In the Magistrate's Court, this morning, there were only two civil cases called on, and this completed the business.
