[ ANNUAL SHOW. | By Telegraph—Omi Correspondent. ' Carterton, Thursday, ' Tho Wairarapa P. and A. Society's J Show opened to-day under most I favourable circumstances. Tho show of stock in tho pens is remarkably good, especially in shoop, ! which aro said to be the finest cvor shown in the Wairarapa. Ho far Messrs Perry Bros, carry off all the first prizes for Lincoln rams, In Cotswolds Messrs Reynolds
Bros, aro the only oiliibitor*. Messrs J. Martin and C. Elgar divido tho principal honours in Border and English Leicester. Mr John Bnckeridgo's Egalite has been awarded first and champion for thoroughbred stallions, In Shorthorn cattle Mr J. Strang's bull 1 Putiti,' is first in tho aged class, Messrs Gray Bros.'second, and Mr W. C. Buchanan's third. Mr A. McHardy takes first and gold medal for yearling bull, and Mr J. Strang second. Mr A, Moody takes Ist and champion for cow with calf at foot. In Ayrshires Mr A. A. Elkins practically sweeps tho board, receiving two gold medals. In this class Mr E. Goodin also takes Ist prize for his yearling bull. In Jerseys or Alderneys Mr H. W. Clay takes tho champion prizes and divides the other honors with Mr P. C. Anderson. ,
