Adelaide, October 26, At tho South Australian Cycling Association's Carnival, the Hulf-milo Scratch Hace resultedZimmerman 1; Parsons, 2; Courtney, 3. Won comfortably by a couple of wheels. Parsqns led to the home stretch, whero Zimmerman rushed to the front, but Parsons, with a magnificent spurt, overhauled him, and amid the greatest excitement won by about four yards. The pace was a cracker throughout, and other starters wore driven off. •Vrime, 12min 20sec. The crowd were so excited tlm they rushed the ground and carried Parsons off in triumph. Parsons nlso won tho Mile Open Handicap. Zimmerman wassciatched for this event, utid for the two-mile race, as ho was not in good form, since he was suffering from the intense heat. Tho Mile Championship of South Australia was won by Buick. Baker second. Gaily third. Time, 2min 27 2-5 sec. ZIMMERMAN AND PARSONS INTERVIEWED. licmeal October 28, 11,30 a.m. Adelaide, October 28. Zimmerman, interviewed, said ho had been suffering severely since Thursday, and was vory weak. He would not have taken any part in the Carnival, but he did not with to disappoint the public.
