THE EXPLOSION IN CHINA.
TERRIBLE LOSS OF LIFE. Shanghai, October 24. Tho details of tho explosion on board the transport at Kinchoo show that most of tho officers were killed, and that the soldiers rushed the boats. Five hundred persons were drowned, and 200 others clung to the wreck for 17 hours and were rescued.
