Tuesday, The W.r'.C.A.'s cheese factory commenced the season last Tbursl day. The Prcsbylei'ian tea meeting held at Martiuborough last night was ut great success. The ltevs. Elliottand Patersou, of Wellington, aud Rev. C. Murray, of Carterton, were present and addressed the meeting. The ladies of the congregation provided the tea.
A large number of tlio Town Lands Trust sections aro to be put up to auction by Mr P. H. Wood next Saturday, when it is expected that they will attract a great deal of competition The adjourned inquest on the body of the child found at Greytowu will be held to-morrow afternoon.
