Mr Forrest, of Queonsland, called ft meeting of kading Australian beef importers at which it was decided to combino and not sell beef under 2s fid per stone for hind-quartors and Is lOd for forequarters. Failing to obtain these prices several (inns withdrew their beef from the Smitlilield sales. Thoso outside the combination are soiling at 2s Cd for hind-quarters, and Is 9d for foro-quarters,
